Respiratory Rehabilitation Programs
Pulmonary rehabilitation programs focus on educating people about COPD and exercise, about COPD and nutrition, as well as teaching skills for coping with the disease. The goal is to help you successfully manage both your life and your COPD. Patients at most stages of the disease can benefit from rehab.

Joining a pulmonary rehabilitation program may require a referral from your doctor. Full-scale pulmonary rehabilitation programs are usually offered at hospitals in larger cities.

Support Groups
Stay connected! Loneliness and boredom can set in very quickly if you don't keep in contact with people. Joining a COPD support group is a great way to meet new people. There are a number of support groups that exist throughout Canada.

If you know about a community resource we should add, send us an e-mail.
